Music Ministry

CHOIR

We hope that you enjoy the music at St. Edward's. Many individuals from St. Edward's devote a considerable amount of their free time throughout the year to enriching our liturgies through hymnody, song, organ and other instruments. St. Edward's is particularly gifted to have the services of Mr. Luke Grubb, our principal organist, Carol Cotnoir, our associate organist, and Elaine Radcliffe, our choir director emeritus. We are grateful for the members of the senior choir, who enrich our services on so many occasions. The St. Edward's choir sings an anthem on the first Sunday of every month from September to June, along with special Christmas and Easter services. Also, the choir is a vital part of our Sunday congregational singing in leading us through old and new hymns and service music. The choir meets for a musical fun and fellowship-filled rehearsal every Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. Are you interested in becoming a choir member? PRAISE BAND

Our praise band provides music for monthly contemporary services on the 2nd Sunday of each month throughout the year, as well as the 4:30 family Christmas Eve service, and other special services. The band consists of adult and teen members of the church, and features contemporary praise music accompanied by guitar, keyboard, bongos, drums, flute, cello, trumpet, and string and electric bass. Led by Randy Westgate and Amy Swiernik; the praise band ministry is especially proud of our loyal teen-age participants who faithfully practice, play and sing, and are frequent soloists at our services. JUNIOR CHOIR 

The St. Edward's junior choir is directed by Helen Castle. The junior choir has young people of a wide age range - from pre-school to teenagers and it is a joy to have them enrich our services on so many special occasions. If you have a child that is interested in joining the junior choir, please contact Helen Castle at 394-8648.
