Parish Ministry, continued
MEMORIAL GARDEN - The Memorial Garden is an alternative to the traditional church cemetery and is available for meditation, worship, and prayer. The Memorial Garden is located on the left rear side of the church and designated as Holy Ground for the remains of St. Edward's members and their families. A bronze plaque containing the name, date of birth, and date of death is placed on an outside wall in the garden. If you would like to know more about the Memorial Garden or you would like an application for prepayment, please contact Bev Hess by placing a note in the Hess parish mailbox or contact Bev @ 898-7948.

READERS - Reading brings you closer to God, a holy tradition that proclaims the word of God for others to hear. Scripture is the written record of a long, glorious oral tradition. To achieve its full power, scripture must be spoken. Reading the words of prophets, apostles and Jesus allows the congregation to "feel" what was being said, the words come alive and you feel closer to the Lord and to the congregation. On any given Sunday, someone in the congregation really needs the Reader Ministry to be good and this honor and responsibility is taken very seriously. Participating in the Reader Ministry provides the opportunity to give back to God, who has blessed us with so much.
Stewardship
USHERS - This year we had 22 ushers covering the various Sunday services and other special services throughout the year. The duties of the ushers are to assist in helping with various tasks during the service.
